Flipside is a 12-week industry-led talent development programme in digital product design for young people between 18-25 years old from the East London boroughs of Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Waltham Forest. Throughout the programme participants partake in training by top agencies in the digital sector.

Personally, the programme as a whole allowed me to take a dive into the digital world. Led by a marriage of leading design agencies in London such as BIO, Beyond, Made by Many & UsTwo; I was able to get hands-on experience learning new softwares (e.g. Sketch and Slack to me that I wouldn't have learnt elsewhere.

Other than learning the hard skills, I also got to understand more soft skills and how they are just important in a workplace. With workshops facilitated by The Skills Lab like active listening and personal effectiveness, myself and the other Flipsiders gained key 'people' skills that can be implemented in the working environment.
